Blue Spinel and Sterling Silver pendant
Inspired by the weathered, organic forms of driftwood, this pendant begins as a hand-carved wax sculpture — shaped to capture the quiet beauty of wood worn smooth by the sea. Cast in sterling silver using the lost wax method, the blue spinel is set directly into the silver as it forms around it, creating a bond between stone and metal that feels completely natural.
The blue spinel glows with a deep, vivid colour — rich and saturated, like a clear sky reflected in still water. Against the organic silver form, it feels like a gem discovered within a piece of driftwood, hidden there all along.

A pendant that brings together the coast and the craft — made with intention and imagination in the Silver Linings studio.
The name Silver Linings came from my breast cancer experience. Cancer has taken so much from me but also gave me time to reevaluate how I was living my life. The "silver lining" of cancer for me was slowing down and investing in what brings me joy; making and creating in my studio at home.
